Welcome

St. Crispin’s School is a mainstream, independent, co-educational school that caters for children between the ages of 2 and 16 years old.  Following the acquisition of The Grange School  we now offer both full time and nursery sessions for 2 year olds.

St. Crispin’s School is situated in the Stoneygate district of Leicester, in two large Victorian houses overlooking Victoria Park; the rooms are light, airy and centrally heated. The school is divided into three departments’ Foundation/Nursery, Primary and Secondary. We follow the full Government curriculum from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), through Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, ending with a full 2 year GCSE course.

We have an excellent academic record which is well above the Government's National Average and is line with other independent schools in the area. Making us a competitive option for private education. We also specialise in helping pupils that are gifted and talented, and pupils with dyslexia.  Our maximum class size is sixteen as we strongly believe small class sizes ensure all pupils receive individual attention.

Proud to have had consistently "Good" Ofsted reports for the last 10 years (2001-2011) with evidence of "outstanding practice"

It is our belief that school life should be both positive and caring with all pupils achieving their best both academically and socially, as such our emphasis is on praise, and reward.  St. Crispin’s School aims to encourage pupils to improve their own curriculum levels, have respect for each other, and to recognise that everyone is different.  Children are encouraged to believe in themselves and to recognise their own ability, whilst at the same time acknowledging other children’s achievements.

To arrange an appointment to talk to Denise Lofthouse (Headmistress) about the opportunities that we can offer your child; or to arrange for a visit, please phone the school office between 8.30 and 5.00, Monday to Friday on 0116 2707648 or email enquiries@stcrispins.co.uk

And finally...

We are pleased to introduce our Head girl and Head boy for 2011-2012 and would like to congratulate them on this achievement.  We know that they will continue to be excellent ambassadors of the school.
