Years 7 to 9 Pupils in Year 7 to 9 follow the National Curriculum for all subjects and are prepared for the relevant National Curriculum tests papers at the end of the year. Ongoing records and reports are kept from the time the child enters the school and these allow us to assess their progress. A watch is kept on their individual value added score and individual targets are set. A comprehensive programme of sport, activities, speakers and excursions forms part of the curriculum. All pupils are set appropriate targets and are expected to reach their individual 'value added' scores. ICT Facilities include up to date modern technology with two computer suites; one for the whole school and one specifically for the GCSE pupils; three interactive white boards and five projectors. All pupils have computer access within the classroom. Pupils from Year 9 upwards sit Functional Skills ICT Level 1 and 2 and can work towards GCSE ICT as an option in year 10. |
